This is an ideal practice course for the novice and high handicapper, because of the course shortness and the excellent condition of the fairways. Generally, the fairways are wide and the greens big and fast paced. Lakes are set around the perimeter of the course, but not unduly disturbing play. For novelty, the 150 yard and 100 yard markers are topiary plants shaped into animals. The clubhouse overlooks the island greens of the ninth and eighteenth.

The Muang Kaew Golf Course, is located along the Bangna-Trad Highway to Pattaya/Chonburi, and is the nearest 18 hole golf course to Bangkok central. Only a 20 minute drive from the city bustle. This course offers a mixed bag such as an easy shortcut par 5, yet a difficult cross over the lake par 4. It's a very popular track, especially with the local Bangkokians on the weekends.. Less than one hour drive north of Bangkok, this floodlit 27 hole course was opened in 1991. The layout has been extensively landscaped with shrubs, bushes and trees providing a beautiful backdrop. The fairways are often sloped and on some holes there are no flat lies, challenging the player's shot making skills. The most frequent hazards that come into play are lakes and lagoons. |
